A cement mix of hardened talent, determination,versatility and a humble personality puts him at the top of his game. Born and raised in upstate New York, D-Strong grew up during a timeless era in the hip-hop scene. The cultural influences around him inspired him and ignited his passion for music, pushing him into tattooing his influence in the industry. D-Strong began on the wheels of steel at local house parties with his signature arsenal of reggae and dance hall music, staying true to his Jamaican roots. As D-Strong’s name and popularity created an immense buzz in the Central Florida area and beyond, he started to be more versatile and merged hip-hop and dirty south along with reggae to his repertoire, which resulted in him being an undeniable crowd rocker day in and day out.

D-Strong attended the renowned Full Sail University and shortly after graduation this music mixing craftsman landed an internship with “Orlando’s Official #1For Hip-Hop & R&B” radio station, 102 JAMZ. His grit and tenacity was quickly noticed and he earned an official spot on the 102 JAMZ DREAM TEAM as a Mix Show DJ and Radio Personality. D-Strong’s assiduous work ethic and humble personality enabled him to create and maintain key relationships in the industry. “You can never forget who’s helped you get where you are in life,” he says, “You know what they say, the same people you pass going up are the same people you pass coming down.” Staying true to his words, anyone who has worked with D-Strong would agree with this statement.

Already a maverick in the game, and a marvel of a DJ in the industry, his eight years thus far have lead him to working with many hip-hop elite power players including Rick Ross, Plies, Flo-Rida, The Game, Lloyd, Beenie Man, Pleasure P, Sean Paul, 50 Cent, Jadakiss, and LL Cool J, just to name a few. A household name is an understatement; DJ D-Strong is major. His voice and likeness is vivid and he is one of the most sought after club DJ’s in Central Florida’s hottest and elite spots. DJ D-Strong insists that “Music is EVERYTHING to me.” He never imagined being successful as a deejay, but his passion has helped him thrive and gained a spot on a plateau of “MEGA-DJ” status.

Having more than a golden touch, and the ability to text, take calls and tweet while spinning in the mix, philanthropist D-Strong’s involvement also sets him apart from the rest of the DJs in Central Florida. He is currently working on constructing a scholarship fund and internship program for the Class of 2010, helping students who want to work in the entertainment industry attain their goals. D-Strong just inked a digital distribution deal with Universal Records and is currently working on his “STRONG RADIO” album scheduled to drop in the first quarter of 2010.
